The Board of STORA ENSO decided in the summer of 1998 to invest in a new soda recovery boiler at STORA ENSO Paperboard in Grums Sweden. The new soda recovery boiler will replace two old boilers. When the project started the planning and installation of new sewage pipeline from the boiler commenced.

The project group decided that the pipeline for industrial sewage water should be in a material superior to stainless steel or concrete pipes.

STORA ENSO Gruvon chose Alvenius TP-Pipes - thermo-plastic coated steelpipes with quick coupling system.
